about

This composition is dedicated to my daughter Virginia. It was written to celebrate the miracle of her birth. Upon returning home the morning of her arrival, overwhelmed with emotion, I sat at the piano and came up with the basic theme for this song. I wanted to write a simple melody that I would eventually be able to teach her to sing. Calendula is the flower that represents the month of October - the month she was born.
